Trading Operations Analyst Internship: Summer 2025

Susquehanna International Group, LLP
Contract
On-site
Dublin, Ireland

Overview

Susquehanna is a global quantitative trading firm founded by a group of friends who shared a passion for game theory and probabilistic thinking. Sitting at the heart of our Trading floor our Trading Operations team is responsible for the full lifecycle of a trade once it has been made. Our team manages the infrastructure that allows these trades to move forward with speed and accuracy. Through analysing data to help make better future decisions, correcting any trade breaks that would expose the firm to financial risk, our team are constantly improving the efficiency in which we complete the lifecycle of a trade.

As a Trading Operations Intern you will gain exposure to each desk such as Trade Support, Risk Operations, Stock Loan and Settlements through various projects and desk rotations. By participating in various desk rotations, you will delve deeper into how each trading operations desk is vital to our trading cycle. You will see how the team works to aggregate and display our firm-wide risk to inform and optimise our future trading decisions by maintaining records of the firm’s financial information and striving to reduce finance and trading costs. You will collaborate within our Middle Office team by maintaining the day-to-day activities of our business while constantly striving towards a more efficient process.

What we offer:

  • Education: Susquehanna’s in-house education programme is widely recognised as being the best in the industry. You will attend regular seminars to learn about in-house business, products, and tech (Excel, SQL, Python etc.). You will also be assigned a mentor from the trading operations team to guide you along the way.
  • Real Impact: You will work collaboratively with the technology team and traders on your desk to develop new ideas and provide key insights throughout the trading day. You will collaborate on daily tasks and projects which are key to making the ongoing success of the business more efficient.
  • Culture: Our culture allows employees of every level to thrive. We are not your typical trading firm – the environment is casual, collaborative and we focus on continuous development, no matter how long you’ve been in Susquehanna.
  • Perks: Based in the heart of Ireland’s Financial Services Centre, and a 10-minute walk from Dublin’s city centre, our employees’ avail of free onsite catering, a games room, and a large in house gym, to name but a few of our favourite perks. You will have the opportunity to attend multiple social events hosted by Susquehanna.

What we’re looking for

  • Problem Solver: You enjoy solving puzzles and love when you discover a solution to difficult problems. You’re not afraid to discuss ideas and work with others to find the optimal solution when faced with challenges within a fast-paced environment.
  • Quick Thinker: You enjoy a fast-paced environment. When a trader query comes your way, you thrive in locating information and delivering it as efficiently as possible.
  • Communicator: When working with all the different teams within trading operations you are not afraid to express your thoughts and ideas to create more efficiency across all desks within the life cycle of the trade.
  • Analytical & Logical: When it comes to decision making, you use clear and sound reasoning. You’re rational and enjoy working with data to find discrepancies and work on optimal solutions.
  • Ambitious: You constantly set yourself goals in life and give your all to achieve them. Be it in Arts, Sports, Academics or another passion you have, you’re not afraid to put in the effort to reach your full potential.
  • Curious: You’re eager to find out more about what it’s like to work in the Finance sector, and specifically Trading Operations. Have a passion and identifiable interest in the financial markets and current affairs.
  • Class of 2026: Successful interns are invited back as graduates to join the Trading Operations Analyst Graduate Programme starting in September 2026.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
