Responsibilities

Position purpose:

The role seeks an experienced Clearing & Execution Sales professional with strong market relationships to enhance a thriving multi-product business. The primary purpose is to drive sales and revenue growth through leveraging existing client networks and industry expertise. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clearing and execution services, fostering new client relationships, and expanding market reach. Success in this role hinges on a deep understanding of market dynamics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex client needs, thereby contributing to the firm’s overall growth strategy

 

 

Primary duties will include: 

  • Generate new business revenue for StoneX through client on-boarding and internal cross-selling opportunities.
  • Develop fundamental expertise in commodities markets and maintain an up to date knowledge of the products and markets in which you work.
  • Continually drive the StoneX brand actively and solicit feedback from industry participants through various means, including trade calls, surveys, industry events, trade shows and conferences.
  • Identify new markets, products, technologies and opportunities.
  • Understand the desk’s business strategy and continually improve the operating model.
  • Participate in pre- and post-trading operational duties including trade reconciliation, trade booking, etc. in compliance with regulations and internal company policies.
  • Execute & on-board OTC & listed customers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships and connections in the Commodities Market.
  • Provide customers with seamless trade execution covering options, futures and arbitrage and daily recaps.
  • Maintain awareness of the risk and compliance culture and comply with company policies for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • Exercise independent judgement and act with integrity, responsibility, skill and diligence to avoid conflicts of interest and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Understand the risks and controls on your desk; what could go wrong, what controls you must prevent/detect or contain these.
  • Escalate risk events immediately and log them within 24 hours via appropriate channels.
  • Report all loss events, or near misses that could have resulted in a loss, in excess of the reporting threshold.
  • Observe standards of market conduct and ensure you are aware of, understand and comply with all regulatory, exchange or clearing house requirements applicable to your role.
  • Complete any mandatory training by the required deadlines.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Exchange Traded Futures and Options space front to back.
  • Exposure to and interest in futures, swaps and options preferred.
  • Self-motivated, enjoy challenges, and thrive in fast-paced environments with conflicting demands and pressures.
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality results.
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and enjoy challenges.
  • Individuals must communicate effectively and work well in teams.
  • Excellent client facing, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once.

Education / Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not essential.
  • The successful candidate must satisfy the requirements of the Minimum Competency Code and comply with the ongoing Fitness & probity Regime of CBI.
  • Fluency in any European language would be an advantage.

Working environment:

  • Hybrid (2 days from home, 3 days from the office)
