Senior Data Scientist - Customer Profiling / EV Fleet Modelling

Senior Data Scientist required to join a well-known transport brand in Leeds who on the verge of an cutting edge rebrand and pivot to incorporate Electric Vehicle offerings into their current service - exciting times!

Your responsibilities will include

• Sole Data Scientist reporting to BI Manager


• Ownership of Data Science offering, understand and work with existing setup, creating a roadmap for the future


• "Selling" the benefits of data science to the wider business and senior stakeholders, translating technical terminology into non-technical presentations, and getting buy-in in order to grow the data science team and capability


• Building the predictive data models and ML algorithms,


• Working with large and complex datasets from various sources, such as telematics, vehicle data, fuel consumption, and customer usage


• Customer profiling and modelling


• Input into SQL Azure Datawarehouse

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Proven track record of applying your data science models to a commercial environment


• Demonstrable experience of proving to non-technical internal stakeholders how you get buy in to investing in data science in your business


• Relevant experience in either customer profiling, transport data, vehicle insurance etc


• Proficient in Python, SQL, and Azure is a very nice to have


• Experience developing junior members of the team


• Data Visualisation tools such as Power BI / Qlik / Tableau
