Senior Business Analyst - Pricing

We are the Flutter UK & Ireland Trading Team - we predict the unpredictable, we think different, and putting our customers first, through innovative solutions and powering the performance of our brands, Paddy Power, Betfair and Sky Betting & Gaming brands at number one.  This Senior Analyst role is based in the pricing function, which is a high performing team responsible for the delivery of new pricing strategies across the Flutter UKI brands.


What you’ll do
You'll report into the Principal Business Analyst in pricing and use data and expertise to build persuasive arguments for business opportunities and product innovations.  You will work within the UKI Trading function, connecting with colleagues from across the organisation to solve complex pricing problems and to identify new opportunities for pricing optimisation.

How you will do it.....

  • Apply business tools and subject matter expertise to build comprehensive cases for proposed commercial changes and product innovations.
  • Analyse internal data, market trends and customer behaviours to inform commercial strategies and decisions
  • Identify potential risks associated with commercial changes, including market reactions, customer impact and financial implications
  • Prepare and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of risks and opportunities
  • Work closely within cross-functional teams, including Commercial and Finance, to align commercial strategies with overall business objectives
  • Track the results of initiatives and provide regular updates to management on outcomes and insights
  • Stay updated on standard methodologies and emerging trends in pricing within the sports betting industry to improve the efficiency of the pricing function.

What we’re looking for...

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, SPSS, R) and experience with data visualisation software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Ability to synthesise multiple forms of analyses into actionable insights to inform business decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about pricing scenarios and their implications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative attitude, skilled in encouraging strong and effective relationships both within the Pricing team and across the company at all levels.
  • Ideally, experience working on pricing strategy projects in a large business setting and knowledge of financial metrics and their impact on pricing decisions
