The profile:


As Product/Business Development Manager - Networking & Security, you need a variety of hard and soft skills. Examples include communication, financial and high-level technical skills, as well drive and self-motivation/starter.



  • Communication skills: As Product/Business Development manager you must be able to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders of all backgrounds and educational levels. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are a must-have. You have the ability to enthusiasm people for your ideas/solutions/portfolio (internal and external)

  • Organisational skills: You must be comfortable juggling numerous stakeholders, on- and off-site meetings, and deadlines. You are highly organised to manage the many parts of the job and keep the tasks on track.

  • Time-management skills: You understand how to prioritise your time.

  • Technical skills: You are not a subject matter expert but have enough technical knowledge/insights to translate vendor/partner solutions into business value for our customers and document them in clear and structured way.

  • Financial skills: You know how to compose a lean business case to prove the viability of your idea(s).

  • Drive and self-motivation: You are goal-oriented and number-driven. You are a professional who has the drive and motivation to push yourselves to succeed.


Key roles & responsibilities:



  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify new trends, challenges, and business opportunities. to understand customer needs and improve customer experiences. Connect with the market, monitor customer needs and identify solution implications by having a continuous communication line with the Sales teams.

  • Makes recommendations towards the leadership team in terms of strategic scenarios, scope, timing & budget.

  • Build and manage the evolutive Cybersecurity solution roadmap in line with the Cybersecurity strategy.

  • Based on a thorough understanding of customer needs, defining & improving Customer Value propositions (solutions). This includes determining the positioning of the solutions with regards to the customer, pricing, features & the guidelines for the experience throughout the complete customer journey.

  • Managing the performance of your business line, specifically: profit and loss account of your products/services, budgeting, realisation of the budget and elaborating business cases

  • Work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders (both technical and non-technical), communicates clearly and concisely, and break down complex, conceptual ideas into executable features: defining the business requirements.

  • Explain solution roadmap/strategy towards content and go-to-market teams.  

  • Be a customer and market advocate by acting as the go-to-person with regards to the solution and business insights related to the solution & market; ensuring & maintaining customer and market interaction on a qualitative and quantitative basis; building thought leadership by providing insights of the solutions/market dynamics to the internal organization.

  • The management of the competitive environment (identifying/analyzing competitors and their offer)


Skills:



  • You have in-depth knowledge of the Cybersecurity market space, including competitors & potential partners and you can guide the company to the optimal competitive position with maximum growth potential

  • You understand value proposition & product/service design best practices and methodology (value proposition & product design, product positioning & storytelling, roadmap design & prioritization, user story & requirement writing).

  • You have deep customer understanding & business analytics skills (market research, customer insights, anticipating customer needs and opportunities).

  • You understand market orientation (market dynamics & competitive landscape, market trends & knowledge and product (area) knowledge).

  • You understand sales & marketing dynamics (sales buying clock, buyer journey, launch planning, creating brand awareness)

  • You are hands-on and take ownership, you are a strong problem solver, and you can act as a go-to-person towards a multitude of stakeholders

  • You are passionate about technology and commercial success.

  • You have strong strategic skills and a helicopter view in order to build a comprehensive strategy taking into account a large number of building blocks

  • Master degree with 5-7 years experience in product management

  • Proficiency in English and Dutch or French
