IT Business Analyst

Job Description:

As an IT Business Analyst specializing in infrastructure projects within the aviation industry, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders, including aviation experts, project managers, and technical teams, to define, analyze, and document requirements for infrastructure projects that enable seamless aviation operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering: collaborate with aviation experts and stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and opportunities related to infrastructure projects.


2. Analysis: evaluate existing infrastructure systems and processes to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and innovation.


3. Solution Design: work with technical teams to design infrastructure solutions that align with aviation industry standards and best practices.


4. Project Coordination: act as a liaison between business stakeholders and project teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project objectives.


5. Quality Assurance: collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop test cases and ensure that infrastructure solutions meet defined requirements.


6. Change Management: support change management efforts by assisting with user training and documentation to ensure a smooth transition to new infrastructure systems.


7. Risk Assessment: identify potential risks and challenges associated with infrastructure projects and propose mitigation strategies.


8. Documentation: create detailed and well-structured business requirements documents, including functional and non-functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.


9. Vendor Management: work with external vendors and suppliers to evaluate and integrate third-party solutions, as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.


2. Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst in the aviation industry.


3. Strong understanding of aviation infrastructure and related technologies.


4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


5. Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation.


6. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.


7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.


8. Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced aviation environment.


9. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
