Understand the E2E business process flow
Bridge between ICT and business
Responsible to transform business requirements in functional requirements. Taking into account functional and
non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security and usability)
Create a conceptual and logical data model
Perform functional analysis of information systems and draw up the functional design
Responsible for qualitative hand-over to the technical designer
Support changes and enhancements from design & development through production including (automated)
testing
Contribute to the drawing up and management of the planning for analysis and design phase
Consult on development and updating of training materials and user manuals and prepare documentation for
implemented products/processes
Identify, research, and analyse production problems, develop solutions, and resolve problems
Develop new program requirements and specifications to support system upgrades and resolves problems with
current systems
You understand and apply the concepts of incremental and interactive development. You are able to see the big
picture but you design just in time (instead of big design up-front) . You involve your team in the design phase
by using techniques like model storming.
Knowledge
Data modelling (conceptual, relational and logical)
Analysis of the business context (AS IS and TO BE)
Apply architecture principles and standards
Functional modelling including documentation
Model storming
Define user stories
Incremental and interactive design & development
Agile testing (Test automation)
Be familiar with technical concepts and terminology in order to communicate fluently with the technical
designer
Basic knowledge about performance
Define impact and dependencies
Define input for planning : workload estimations, risks, ...
Use interview techniques
Structured and convincing communication skills
Knowledge of Archimate is an advantage
Project life cycle
