On 14th May 2024, it was announced that Flutter would be moving its primary listing from the UK to the US,  and its global operational headquarters from Dublin to New York (effective 31st May 2024).

The Role:

Flutter’s Group Reporting team is currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our growing team to be an integral part of the Group’s ESG Reporting workstream. With new legislation and reporting requirements, this is an exciting, new and developing area finance teams are being asked to bring their knowledge and expertise into. In this role you will assist with the design, implementation and roll out of ESG-reporting related processes across the Group. These processes will include SOX level internal controls over data collection, processing and through to disclosures. You will be working closely with colleagues from various teams across the organization to collect, verify and consolidate ESG data and prepare disclosures. You will also be working with our Financial Systems team to implement IT systems solutions to support ESG data collection and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an integral part of Flutter’s ESG Reporting team to support all ESG reporting
  • Assist with designing, developing and implementation of ESG Reporting processes and controls thereon across the Flutter Group, working with various stakeholders from varying backgrounds
  • Work to implement above processes and controls with any subsidiaries acquired through future M&A
  • Work with teams across the Business to develop/ enhance and operationalize data collection and process flows, including working with our IT Systems, leveraging technologies
  • Play a key role in the audit process over ESG disclosures with Flutter’s external auditors
  • Monitor, alongside our Sustainability and Legal teams, the evolving global regulatory ESG reporting landscape covering Irish, EU and SEC reporting requirements, to ensure all requirements are met. Adjust processes to adhere to the changing landscape.
  • Provide training and guidance to relevant teams across the Group on reporting governance: processes, controls, audit trail, materiality etc.
  • Consider Group Reporting requirements as well as Local requirements for our subsidiaries (e.g Australia)

Skills & Qualifications:

  • University degree in finance/ accounting
  • Accounting Designation with 5+ years of experience post qualification, preferably in a big 4/ large public company environment
  • Experience in a combination of consolidations, accounting and financial reporting and working in a SOX internal controls environment. Prior ESG reporting experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of design, implementation and operationalization of efficient and effective processes and controls
  • Proven track record in managing multiple priorities and working with multiple stakeholders while consistently meeting deadlines
  • Strong business acumen, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; A team player.
  • Ability to thrive working in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment and embrace change
  • A driven individual, excited about taking on new challenges
  • Working closely and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across all levels and teams within an organization
  • Strong critical and logical thinking; comfort with ambiguity
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in mentoring, developing and motivating staff is a plus
  • Relevant professional certifications in ESG fields are a plus.
