For the position of Coordinator Customer Service Support (Customs), we are looking for a colleague who gets energy from customer contact and can take our Customer Service department to the next level. The team consists of approximately 8 colleagues. Hapag-Lloyd's Rotterdam office is a key hub in the company's global network, strategically located near the Port of Rotterdam, one of the busiest and most important ports in the world. With a workforce 200 dedicated professionals, the Rotterdam office is known for its great atmosphere and diverse workforce, representing a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.

What your duties will include

  • You put the customer first and deliver the highest quality of service;
  • You handle customs activities, included but not limited to export / import manifests, in-bond handling
  • You are responsible for customs declarations;
  • You monitor customs rejections and acceptances;
  • You handle House Bill mismatches;
  • Follow standard processes and new requirements as communicated by management.

  • You have at least MBO thinking and working level and at least 2 years' experience in a similar position or interest in shipping;
  • Trainings in the field related to the position is a plus;
  • You have an excellent command of the Dutch language and good command of the English language both verbally and in writing;
  • You can work very well with common IT systems and applications.
