Are you a dynamic go-getter with a passion for driving growth and forging strategic partnerships? DP World is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our innovative team in the Netherlands.


The Business Development Manager will drive business growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities for CNS’s customs and logistics software solutions. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships within the port, logistics and customs sectors, understanding local and EU customs regulations, and representing CNS at industry events to promote our software solutions.


 


How you will contribute: 



  1. Business Development: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth objectives in The Netherlands and surrounding regions.

  2. Client Relationships: Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and port authorities.

  3. Solution Delivery: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of software solutions tailored to client requirements.

  4. Account Growth: Identify and capitalise on opportunities within existing accounts for upselling, cross-selling, or introducing new features/services.

  5. Feedback Collection: Regularly gather and interpret client feedback, working with product and development teams to drive improvements and enhancements.

  6. Issue Resolution: Act as the primary escalation point for any client concerns or issues, ensuring they are addressed promptly and effectively.

  7. Account Reporting: Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions, transactions, and growth metrics, providing regular reports to senior management via CRM. 

  8. Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to ensure the company's solutions remain relevant and competitive. 

  9. Representation: Represent CNS at industry events, trade. 


 


What you will bring:


Qualifications: 



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field is desirable.


Experience: 



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within the logistics community.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of local and EU customs regulations is preferred.

  • Experience in selling software solutions, particularly in the logistics and customs sectors, is highly desirable.


Skills:



  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, being able to explain technical concepts in layman's terms.

  • Relationship Building: Ability to establish and nurture beneficial business relationships.

  • Negotiation Skills: Comfortable negotiating contracts, prices, and terms with clients.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address any client issues or concerns and find effective solutions.

  • Analytical Skills: Can evaluate sales figures and other data to track performance and plan for improvements.

  • Adaptability: The tech industry can change rapidly. Being adaptable ensures that the Account Manager can handle changes in technology, client needs, or market conditions

  • Team Player: As this role often requires coordination with other departments like sales, product development, and customer support, being able to work well in a team is essential
