The Role: 


The Asset Management and Sustainability area is responsible for the development of asset policies, strategies and plans to determine the significant investment required into Ireland’s infrastructure. The area drives investment and the Sustainability and Innovation agenda for the organisation and leads on Environmental Regulation and Compliance activities, ensuring the quality of water and wastewater is continuously monitored. The Asset Management function is responsible for strategic planning, prioritisation, and development of Uisce Éireann’s Capital Works pipeline. The function plays a key role in promoting collaboration and co-ordination of activities across the three asset functions as well as providing environmental assessment and management expertise across Uisce Éireann.


 


The Asset Intelligence team’s purpose is to connect their customers with quality asset data to drive insights and support decision making. The scope of the team's responsibility covers 4 main areas: Asset Data Insights and Stakeholder Management, Asset Data Management, Asset Data Governance and Special Projects.


 


Reporting to the Asset Intelligence Senior Reporting Analyst (Quality), the Asset Intelligence Reporting Analyst will be responsible for producing detailed business intelligence reports and supporting the determination of the current information and reporting capability from the Local Authorities and adopting the capability into Uisce Éireann. The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for supporting the provision of asset and operational reporting services and tools on behalf of Uisce Éireann. They will work closely with other teams from Asset Intelligence, Asset Management and Asset Operations to develop and run the required reporting to support business management and decision-making processes.


 


Main Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Work closely with key stakeholders from across Asset Management, Asset Operations, Regulation etc. to define key reporting requirements, enabling business decision-making and building desired reports 

  • Develop reports on key asset and operational procedures, including asset register, asset performance, asset condition, operating costs, workflow (planned/reactive ratio), serviceability levels, cost of asset failures 

  • Support the determination of the current information and reporting capability from the Local Authorities and adopting said capability into Uisce Éireann 

  • Support the development of reporting standards and best practices relating to asset information management and reporting, in accordance with, and supportive of, regulatory requirements and company objectives 

  • Assist with the provision of data for the asset price review process through the provision of asset information 

  • Support the provision of asset information in alignment with the needs of the Asset Management teams and other consumers of asset information across the organisation 

  • Contribute to achieving the objectives and targets of the Asset Intelligence and overall Asset Management business plans 

  • Identify opportunities to improve information and reporting solutions processes and procedures to effectively serve the business 


 


General Duties and Responsibilities


 



  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business

  • Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards. 

  • Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.

  • Other duties as required.


 


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


 



  • Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and or relevant experience

  • Proactive, with ability to work on own initiative and with others to ensure success in the performance of a team

  • Proven effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise and remain focused

  • Proven ability to create and develop good working relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals, coupled with the ability to gain commitment from others

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey messages in a clear and concise manner

  • Desirable to have strong Computer skills with a proficient working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Ability to set up ongoing processes and procedures to collect and review information

  • Flexible with regard to working in a changing environment and the ability to adjust to new work structures, processes and requirements as necessary

  •  Proactively identifying new areas of learning and using newly gained knowledge and skills on the job
