Position Description
We are seeking a motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join our European M&A advisory and capital markets team. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in executing and originating cross-border transactions with a strong China/Asia angle. Collaborating with a diverse group of professionals from various nationalities, you will be part of a dynamic and experienced team with the mandate to expand our European franchise across all products of our Investment Banking offering.
Based in our Amsterdam office, this role involves work on transactions with clients located across Europe and requires extensive travel to countries including Germany, France etc.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Financial analysis, valuation, pitch preparation and Investment Banking transaction work
Assisting with execution of M&A advisory and capital markets related mandates
Assisting with the origination of mandates and the management of client relationships
Supporting the day-to-day internal communications with other offices in Asia
Ensuring that all internal procedures are met to the highest standards.
Requirements
Fluent English (spoken and written). Fluent Chinese (spoken and written) is advantageous.
Degree Qualified – e.g., finance, accounting, science/engineering or otherwise relevant to the role
Past or current full-time professional role is not a requirement however work experience, including internships, in relevant fields is assumed
Strong numerical and problem solving / analytical skills, and great attention to detail
Ability to learn and develop fast, and to handle accelerating responsibility at an early stage of the career
High energy, with ability to work independently, under pressure and to tight deadlines
Facility in operating across different cultures and strong team player
Relationship building skills and commercial awareness
Interest in global financial markets and business, including Europe and the Far East
Well-developed proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
