We’re looking for a detail-focused Tax Specialist to support compliance, reporting, and advisory work within the finance team. This role will help ensure accurate submissions, mitigate risk, and contribute to tax planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit PAYE and VAT returns

• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and payment deadlines

• Conduct reconciliations and resolve tax discrepancies

• Advise internal teams on payroll tax and VAT matters

• Monitor tax legislation changes and assess business impact

• Support tax planning and process improvements

• Liaise with HMRC and external tax advisers

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of UK tax laws (PAYE, VAT, HMRC processes)

• Experience in preparing tax computations and returns

• Proficient in Excel and tax software

• Excellent communication, accuracy, and analytical skills

• ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified

• Previous experience in a tax-focused role (practice or in-house)
