Job Overview: As a Cloud Engineering Manager in our consulting firm based in Belgium, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of highly skilled cloud engineers. Your role will involve working closely with clients to understand their business requirements, designing and implementing cloud solutions, and providing technical guidance to the team. You will be an integral part of our consulting practice, contributing to the growth and success of our cloud services portfolio.




Requirements

Responsibilities:



  1. Team Leadership:



    • Lead a team of cloud engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support.

    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional development.

    • Set clear objectives, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to team members.

    • Manage resource allocation and workload distribution to ensure timely delivery of client projects.


  2. Cloud Solution Design and Implementation:



    • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into cloud-based solutions.

    • Design scalable and secure cloud architectures, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.

    • Oversee the implementation of cloud solutions, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and infrastructure teams, to drive successful project delivery.


  3. Client Engagement and Relationship Management:



    • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and technical point of contact.

    • Understand client objectives and identify opportunities to enhance their cloud infrastructure and operations.

    • Provide strategic guidance on cloud technologies, migration strategies, and cost optimization.

    • Deliver presentations, workshops, and training sessions to educate clients on cloud solutions and benefits.


  4. Technical Expertise:



    • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies, especially related to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

    • Maintain a deep understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks.

    • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide guidance to resolve them effectively.

    • Conduct technical assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and optimization.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (minimum 7 years) in cloud engineering, architecture, or related roles, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in leading technical teams.

  • Extensive knowledge of cloud computing concepts, services, and infrastructure components.

  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.

  • Fluent in English and one of French and/or Dutch

  • Consulting experience or experience in a client-facing role is a plus.
