About you

You are currently studying communication, information management, marketing or equivalent. You have an interest in working with business and internal communication strategy, planning and execution and understand of how communication supports the impact of a business agenda. You want to create and deliver clear and consistent messages and communication that inspires and engages people.

What else are we looking to find in you?

· An understanding of the role of communication in change management and organisational development.

· An understanding of how to segment audiences and strengthen key messages to support different audience needs and situations.

· High integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a responsible way.

· Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Swedish.

About the job
You will be a part of the Media relations, issues communication and public affairs team. In this team we initiate and engage in discussions to protect and build trust in the IKEA brand. We share good stories about IKEA with the outside world and build relationships with influential decision and opinion makers. We work preventively with issues management and we are ready 24/7 to answer media questions.

The internship is for 3-6 months with start in February 2017. It is a fulltime position based in Delft, the Netherlands. You will work closely with and report to the Media Relations Manager at Inter IKEA Systems.

About the assignment

In this internship you will contribute to the build-up of the Inter IKEA Systems capability to work with Media relations, Issues communication and Public Affairs, together with other IKEA trademark users. You will be a part of protecting and building trust for the IKEA brand, proactively and reactively, and at all times act as an ambassador for the IKEA culture and values. Your days will also involve:

· Media monitoring

· Create reports tracking Media relations, issues communication and public affairs’ team activities

· Support in creating clear and actionable communication plans and communication briefs to enable efficient and effective creation, production and follow-up

· Involved in media on duty activities
