About the team: New Energies is a new team within Evos focused primarily on defining and creating growth opportunities in the new energies transition space across the Evos Group portfolio of terminals and beyond. The director will have at least three direct reports.

About the role: The Business Development Director is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for the Evos Group within the renewable energy sector and elsewhere. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, relationship building and recognizing opportunities to drive business growth. Cross-functional teamwork together with deep collaboration to develop innovative solutions, assess industry trends and evaluate partnerships or acquisitions is essential in this role.


The successful candidate is expected to rapidly growth Evos Group presence in the renewable energies sector through networking, client engagement, and product/service promotion. Success in this role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of new energy technologies and market dynamics. The director plays a pivotal role in guiding Evos towards sustainable growth and competitiveness in the rapidly evolving new energy landscape and delivering our strategy.


The Business Development Director for new energies has a key role ensuring successful deal closures and achieving commercial results within the renewable energy sector. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking and practical execution to convert leads into tangible business opportunities.


The director is responsible for negotiating contracts, forging partnerships, and leading client engagements that result in successful transactions and understanding client needs. The ultimate measure of success for this position is the ability to close deals that contribute to Evos revenue targets and broader presence of the Evos Group within the new energy sector.








About you: As the Business Development Director role is a key position we expect that you have at least a bachelors degree in a related discipline with a master's degree focused on business or energy-related studies preferred. You have extensive experience in business development or sales, with a proven track record of delivery in the new energies sector. Prior experience in a leadership role, managing teams and driving business growth.


Further you have knowledge of energy regulations, industry standards, and environmental considerations and experience with energy project financing and business model development. We expect strong leadership, excellent communications and negotiation skills with a focus on deal making. Well organized, a proactive self-starter, with a strong bias for action who delivers and sees projects through from start to finish.


A strategic thinker who has exceptional business acumen combined with strong analysis skills to prioritize winning ideas and projects.  Won’t take no for an answer who generates leads and converts them into opportunities. Must be available for extensive travel for client meetings, industry events, and business development activities.
